ACC Chair Thompson Appointed to NARUC Board of Directors

Phoenix, Ariz. - Arizona Corporation Commission Chair Kevin Thompson has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). NARUC is the national association representing state public service commissions who regulate utilities.

The Board serves as the supervisory body, overseeing the association's general and financial functions, and approving policy resolutions. 20 Commissioners from across the United States, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories are appointed to the Board. Thompson was appointed to a four-year term.

"It's a great honor to be appointed to the NARUC Board and be afforded the opportunity to represent Arizona's perspective nationally," said Chair Thompson. "I'm grateful for the continuous educational opportunities NARUC provides to regulators across the country and the ability to learn from my colleagues on how they are handling the challenges of today and preparing for the future.
