Department of State to visit seven Michigan college campuses for Voter Registration Day

MDOS continues to bring mobile office services and nonpartisan election information to students as a part of 2026 fall college tour

LANSING, Mich. - Today, the Michigan Department of State (MDOS) continues its 2026 fall college tour by visiting seven colleges and universities on National Voter Registration Day, helping students register to vote and sharing nonpartisan election information.

"The start of the school year is an exciting, but busy time for college students in Michigan," said Deputy Secretary of State Aghogho Edevbie. "National Voter Registration Day is the perfect opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to visit mi.gov/vote to get registered, confirm their registration, or update their registration. By bringing our services and nonpartisan election information directly to Michigan's college campuses, we can help students register to vote and promote civic engagement without taking time away from their academic endeavors."

With the Nov. 3 General Election just weeks away, MDOS staff is visiting colleges and universities around the states to provide nonpartisan voter education materials and information about signing up as a poll worker through the Democracy MVP program. At some locations, the Secretary of State mobile office will be onsite to provide services like voter registration, updating or renewing a driver's license or state ID, upgrading to a REAL ID, and other transactions typically provided at branch offices.
