LakeCities Ballet Theatre will present multiple performances of
The Little Mermaid, April 17-19, in the Huffines Performance Hall at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles.
Performance times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17; 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 - including
The Little Mermaid Tea at 1:30 p.m.; and 2 p.m., on Sunday, April 19. Tickets are $25 for general admission and can be purchased on the
Lake Cities Ballet website.
This is the very first production of Hans Christian Anderson's The Little Mermaid with original choreography by LBT Artistic Director, Kelly Kilburn Lannin. Dancing the role of Ariel will be LBT member Josephine Keith. Dancing the role of Prince Eric will be LBT member Coen Gruenloh.
LakeCities Ballet Theatre is one of 10 local groups receiving funding from the City of Lewisville through a grant program designed to foster cultural and fine arts in the community.
The Grand is Lewisville's home for the arts. It presents a variety of regional and national touring performers, art exhibits, and classes, while also giving the many arts groups in the greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works. Its multiple performance spaces play host to a variety of events, including live music, theater, dance performances, comedy shows, and more. The center features the 294-seat Huffines Performance Hall, black box theater, recital hall, art gallery, and courtyard.
To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Please be aware that heavy construction at the Main Street intersection with I-35E could cause traffic delays.
