On January 26, 2026, Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, hosted a New Year reception for the heads of diplomatic and consular missions and representatives from international organizations accredited in the country.
Minister Konaković highlighted the key achievements of Bosnia and Herzegovina's foreign policy over the past year and outlined the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He particularly underscored the significance of European integration as a strategic foreign policy goal, with the role of economic diplomacy in enhancing international cooperation and promoting Bosnia and Herzegovina's economic potential.
He recounted the numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings and events he participated in during the previous year, as well as the visits from high-ranking officials to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He noted that these efforts have been instrumental in strengthening the country's international standing.
Minister Konaković expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the diplomatic corps and their respective countries for their ongoing support for Bosnia and Herzegovina and for their efforts to improve bilateral relations and promote the nation's potential.
He emphasized that the diplomatic community's contribution is crucial to building cooperative bridges, fostering mutual trust, and developing stable relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and its international partners.
