HACU holding its 31st Annual National Capitol Forum April 21-22, 2026

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will host its 31st Annual National Capitol Forum on Higher Education on April 21-22, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The two-day event includes sessions, policy briefings and as well as scheduled meetings with representatives on Capitol Hill.

The HACU Capitol Forum is a two-day event that will convene university leaders and college students to cover the most critical legislative and funding priorities for Hispanic-Serving Institutions, including legislative and funding challenges, and actions advocates can take to champion HSIs and the students they serve. Attendees of the Forum will have the opportunity to align strategy, engage directly with Members of Congress, and leave with timely policy updates, practical tools for advocacy, and a clear roadmap for protecting Title III and Title V programs, and other HSI priorities.

The pre-Forum agenda will include agency representatives offering insight into federal funding opportunities for higher education institutions. The #HSInnovators student track will equip students through advocacy training, a pitch competition, and meetings with elected officials.

HACU has issued a Call to Action urging Congress to protect HSIs by ensuring the full and timely execution of Title III and Title V funding in FY26 appropriations.
