Announcing the Advancing Intratumoral Treatments QuickFire Challenge: Korea & Beyond

July 27, 2026- Today, Johnson & Johnson announced the launch of the Advancing Intratumoral Treatments QuickFire Challenge: Korea & Beyond. Global innovators, with an interest in leveraging the Korea ecosystem, are invited to submit their bold ideas for innovative drug candidates, platforms, and enabling technologies with the potential to advance intratumoral therapeutic approaches for the treatment of solid tumors.

While recent advancements have brought significant progress to cancer treatment, there is a need for additional treatment options that are more effective and less toxic to improve the risk/benefit ratio for older and early-stage patients, and that are complementary and able to enhance the current mainstays of cancer care (radiation, surgical and medical oncology).1

Johnson & Johnson's Interventional Oncology (INTO) group aims to address these needs and eliminate cancer through intratumoral treatments by leveraging our unique Innovative Medicine and MedTech expertise. Through this approach, INTO aims to deliver investigational intratumoral treatments designed to deliver therapies directly into tumors to improve local effectiveness, reduce systemic exposure, and complement existing cancer treatments.

In aid of our mission to address significant unmet clinical needs with breakthrough therapies delivered directly into tumors, Johnson & Johnson has launched this challenge. Select finalists may have the opportunity to present their science to Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Oncology leaders in a closed-door session in Seoul, South Korea, on November 13, 2026.*

Finalists who cannot attend in person may have the opportunity to participate in a virtual presentation with Johnson & Johnson leadership in November 2026.

Applications will be accepted until September 4, 2026: https://jji.jnj/KoreaINTOQFC

*Subject to terms and conditions of applicable QuickFire Challenge. No travel costs will be reimbursed for applicants to attend the live presentation opportunity in Seoul.
