With teams bouncing back and snapping losing streaks, College Football Season at Cosm is heating up.
Saturday started at Cosm Los Angeles and Cosm Detroit with Indiana vs. Michigan in "The Big House." The Hoosiers were looking to come back from their first loss in 22 games, and snag their first win in Ann Arbor in nearly 60 years.
And come back they did, taking a 13-6 win over the Wolverines in OT. It might not have been pretty, but Indiana walked away with a victory that bumped them to No. 4 in the AP Top 25.
Saturday rolled on as Cosm Atlanta and Cosm Dallas transported fans to Tuscaloosa for Texas A&M vs. Alabama. The Crimson Tide are back on track following a 31-20 victory that snapped their two-game losing streak. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the Aggies, who now have a 0% chance of making the College Football Playoff, according to ESPN's FPI.
Week 8 at Cosm ended with Ole Miss vs. Texas. In a disappointing game for the Rebels, Ole Miss suffered a 34-27 loss and a shoulder injury that will sideline running back Kewan Lacy this upcoming week. For the Longhorns, who walked away victorious after back-to-back losses, it was a chance to get back into the College Football Playoff picture. Following the win, Texas jumped eight spots to No. 11 in the latest AP poll.
In Week 9, Cosm is set to host the Florida-Georgia Football Rivalry. Only this time, the ball is in Georgia's court-literally.
This Week In College Football at Cosm
#17 Florida (5-2) vs. #3 Georgia (6-1)
Last Meeting: Georgia (24-20) Florida (2025)
The Florida-Georgia Football Rivalry meets again.
Only this time, the game won't take place in Jacksonville, the location of all but two meetings since 1933. Because of stadium renovations, the War for the Oar will move to Georgia for first time since 1995.
On one side, No. 17 Florida is taking every measure necessary to snap their five-game losing streak in this rivalry. The Gators have yet to name a starter for Saturday's game, and they will continue to practice quarterbacks Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones Jr. to ensure both players are ready for anything.
On the other side, coming off a bye week, Georgia is looking to get back on track after their brief stint at No. 1 ended following their first loss of the season in Week 7. That starts with quarterback Gunnar Stockton, who is looking to right his wrongs after committing three costly turnovers in the 27-24 loss to Auburn. But despite recent struggles, the Bulldogs are poised to continue their winning streak in this rivalry series.
We all know that rivalry games tend to ignore history. With both Florida and Georgia well-rested after a bye week, it is anyone's game. And come Halloween night, orange and blue and red and black will flood Mercedes-Benz Stadium for this classic Gators-Bulldogs showdown.

War for the Oar
It's officially Florida-Georgia Football Rivalry week!
The stage is set at Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the storied Gators-Bulldogs showdown. Orange and blue on one side. Red and black on the other side. Split down the middle, and both heading to War for the Oar.
The Okefenokee Oar, that is. Carved from a 1,000-year-old oak tree, the 12-foot-tall wooden oar comes from the Okefenokee Swamp along the Florida-Georgia border. It's not just any oar. It's the Oar that the victors are awarded and claim as their own for that year until the following season's rivalry game.
In 2009, the University of Georgia and University of Florida student government associations partnered to create this rivalry trophy. Engraved with the schools' mascots and state seals on either side, the Oar is no ordinary slab of wood, as it also bears the scores from every Florida-Georgia game since 2009.
Despite the Oar's rich history, it was not always well known. A joint resolution by both schools' student government associations in 2011 helped kickstart its notoriety.
Since then, this symbol of the rivalry has become a trophy-worthy tradition that makes winning the Florida-Georgia Football Rivalry even more satisfying.
